Got Questions? We Have Answers!
Q: Do you provide a CD with all of the images from the session?
A: No. I am a firm believer of QUALITY over quantity. Each package at Krystal Dawn offers a set amount of digital images that you will receive via online proof gallery. From this gallery, you will be able to download your images, each of which are fully edited and retouched to my artistic vision. While I understand that every one loves photos of their children and families and would like to have every photograph, we only like to provide the BEST and most BEAUTIFUL images that you (and me!) would take pride in and have showcased on your wall.
Q: What can I expect at a Krystal Dawn photo session?
A: At Krystal Dawn, I make it a priority to make sure that every client leaves happy, knowing that their session went well and will receive the best photographs, understanding sometimes children can just have bad days. You will never feel rushed here. All of my studio sessions are done in the comforts of my own home and I always try to make my clients feel as if they were at their own home. While I do provide couches for you to get comfy and cozy during sessions, sometimes I do have to put Mom & Dad to work as my "assistants" to help get some smiles out of your little one! After all, nobody knows your child more than you! And if your child doesn't smile, don't sweat it, Mom & Dad! Sometimes the best pictures are the ones capturing your child just being themselves!
Q: What is the ordering process like?
A: After your portrait session, you will be sent a link to your online proof gallery 2-14 days from your scheduled session. We simplified the ordering process so you will be able to download all your digital images and order your prints all from your online proof gallery. You will receive a Print Credit promo code with your Session Package. You will be given 90 days to place your order. Once your print order is placed, you will receive access to download your digital images. If you do not place your order within 90 day, your photos will be archived and there will be a fee applied to recover them. Once your print order is placed, you can expect them to arrive 5-10 days. Please allow a few additional days if you choose the shipping option.
Q: Where do your prints come from?
A: All of Krystal Dawn photos are sent out to a professional photo lab to be printed. All prints are of professional grade quality, photo paper, resolution, and printed to it's truest color. Nothing like you will find in-store or any online photo printing service (i.e. Shutterfly, Snapfish, Mpix, etc.)
Q: How do I schedule a newborn session and how soon do I bring baby in?
A: Krystal Dawn Photography has found that newborns are at their sleepiest and most squishiest from 3-14 days from birth. The sooner the better! To book a newborn session, please contact us while baby is still baking and I will pencil you in for your due date. If baby comes sooner or later, no worries! I am very flexible and always keep availability for my newborn sessions. Please, just do your best to keep me in the loop for when baby is born. It is very important to contact me via text, email, Facebook, or WHEREVER as soon as baby is born so I can best fit baby in to my schedule.
Q: Do you provide those cute, little crocheted outfits, or do the parents provide them?
A: Krystal Dawn Photography has tons of outfits/props for your newborn, but parents are also encouraged to bring their own if there is something specific that you really like. You can find some adorable little outfits/props at www.etsy.com, search "newborn props" or "newborn outfits". Also feel free to let me know what you might be interested in. I am also pretty crafty when it comes to crocheting!
Q: When is the best time to schedule a maternity shoot?
A: I recommend 32-36 weeks, when that baby belly is really popping, but also recommend when mommy feels the most comfortable. There is no right or wrong in my opinion. A Mommy-To-Be is always glowing!
Q: What's in my Gear Bag?
A: Canon 6D 20.2 MP Digital SLR, Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L, Canon 85mm f/1.8, Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art, Canon 24-105mm f/4L, Canon 50mm f/1.8 II.
